SPURS LEGENDS MATCH – A DAY TO REMEMBER!
On Sunday 20th July, over 1,500 fans attended the Spurs Legends Charity Match at Whitstable Town Football Club. The turnout was incredible and seeing so many Spurs and football fans come together in one place was truly something special.
The day didn’t start perfectly – the first half was played in the rain – but it didn’t dampen the atmosphere, or the enthusiasm showed by both the Spurs Legends and Herne Bay Youth Veteran teams.
From the moment the gates opened to end of the day, the support, energy, and good spirits from everyone there made all the effort worthwhile.
This event has been months in the making. A huge amount of planning, organising, and teamwork went on behind the scenes, and to see it all come together so well was a proud moment.
We want to say a sincere thank you to:
- Every fan who turned up, cheered, and supported the day
- The marshals and volunteers who gave up their time and worked tirelessly to keep things running smoothly
- Partner organisations who provided health and wellbeing advice
- Everyone who donated, brought tickets, or contributed in any way
All in support of Legend on the Bench Charity on the Bench, a charity doing important work in mental health and suicide prevention
We’ve included a selection of photos below, but if you’d like to look back on the whole day, you can view the full set here:
Thank you for being part of it.
