Bench Reveals 10-13 - Another Very Special Day đź’™
đź’™ ANOTHER VERY SPECIAL DAY đź’™
The 27 September was another incredibly proud day for East Kent Spurs as we unveiled benches 10, 11, 12 and 13 as part of the Legend on the Bench project.
In one day we travelled to Sheerness, Mote Park in Maidstone, Canterbury Christ Church University and finally Tankerton in Whitstable for four very special reveals.
In 2025, East Kent Spurs members raised an incredible £28,000 for Legend on the Bench – enough to fund 14 suicide-prevention benches.
To now see that fundraising turned into something permanent, visible and potentially life-saving feels incredibly special to us.
We were joined throughout the day by local mayors, councillors, the KCC Suicide Prevention Team, representatives from other organisations and, friends, family and of course lots of our own members.
It was also fantastic to have Legend on the Bench and Micky Hazard with us to lead the reveals and explain just how important these benches can be.
We are so proud of what we have all achieved together.
Every event, raffle, donation and bit of support throughout 2025 helped make this happen.
These benches will leave a lasting legacy in the communities they serve and will help save lives.
Thank you to everyone who has played a part.
